Summary TPM 1 Germany (written by Marlene Möritz)
Germany welcomed
12 teachers from the 5 partner schools (Greece, Slovakia, Czech Republic,
Italy, Spain) within the project “Childhood in a box”. This is what happened
during the week:
Monday:
Germany warmly
welcomed our guests with all students of the school. We presented the winner of
the logo competition. Teachers and headteachers planned and talked about the
project. The visiting teachers got to know Leipzig on a sightseeing tour by bus.
Tuesday and
Wednesday:
The visiting teachers
had the opportunity to do job shadowing at the Erich Kästner Primary School.
They got to know the school routine, visited the lessons as well as after
school day care. All teachers and educators did some sport courses together in
the afternoon.
Thursday:
Teachers and
educators did further planning for the project. In the evening everyone had
dinner together and played bowling. Some went watching a soccer game at the
stadium.
Friday:
The day started
with an international breakfast prepared by guests for all teachers and
educators. The week was evaluated and the guests and the mascot E. Rasmus was
sent off to Greece.
